Karl-Erik Bennion
Karl-Erik has been involved in the arts since his childhood. He began drawing commissioned portraits at age 17. Through years of practice, observation and formal study he has developed his technique in capturing a likeness and creating portraits that exude the spirit of each person he captures. Karl-Erik works in both illustration/fine art and in graphic design. Both skills and abilities support and refine each other. His designs benefit from an artistic eye and his artwork benefits from the ability to design aesthetically pleasing layouts.

Karl-Erik's early works were primarily charcoal and pencil but he has moved into the realm of pastels. "I love working with pure pigment", he says "and I love the looseness I can get with pastel work, I consider myself an impressionistic realist and each painting gets me closer to the style I can see in my mind." Karl-Erik accepts commissioned work and is currently working on a gallery series of Native Americans.
