Tom Goduto came to St George in 2006 in a totally retired status. Knowing he needed a plan for a fully productive life style, he decided to focus on three life enrichment areas and set challenging goals for himself. First, he is determined to shoot his age in golf and he's on track for that to happen on some "unsuspecting" day. Second, was to further his guitar music and he currently plays the lead guitar in his church's Praise Band, and is a member of the Southern Utah Song Writers Association (SUSWA). Thirdly, Tom got back into art. A good definition of an artist is, one who strives to improve on every piece he works on. Tom does this to his own satisfaction. He has shown his work, sold his art, and has done commission pieces, but he enjoys most doing the thing that moves and inspires him at "that special moment". He works in all mediums, has volunteered to do large scale murals and scenery and has become an active participant in chalk art street painting festivals. Tom is currently Chairman of the Board/ President of the Visual Arts Association of Southern Utah, an organization of artists, art organizations and art enthusiasts working to further develop the St George area into the arts destination it deserves to be.
