John Lubs
John Lubs was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1948. Upon graduating from the University of Georgia in 1970 with a degree in graphic art, he was obliged to join the U.S. Air Force as an illustrator in San Antonio, Texas until 1974. A move to Los Angeles led to commercial art work and a two year position as a display artist at Griffith Observatory. Changing careers to administration began a 25 year break from painting. John Lubs stopped work in 1996 and moved with his family to Sequim, Washington near Olympic National Park. In 2005 he can to St. George, UT and began to paint again. John works with Gordon Childs of St. George. John Lubs
