Carolynn Slater
![]() She was interested in art from an early age, and took numerous classes in high school and college, studying an Snow College (Ephriam, Utah) and Scottsdale Ariz. She has studied under such notable artists as Frank Covino (oils), Arne Westernam (watercolors), Wallace Lee (Utah), and Joe Abbrecia (Scottsdale Az.) She exhibited at the Bertha Eccles Art Center in Ogden where she won the covered Ruth Turner Nature Award; the 2007 Visual Arts Association Invitational Art Show, where she won a first place "Spirit of Art" award. She has also exhibited at the Richard & Peggy Sears Dixie Invitational Art Show in St. George, Utah, and with the Southern Utah Water Color Society. Carolynn's paintings are in numerous private collection in the United States, Canada and Mexico. She accepts commission work of floral and landscape subjects, with photographs and comments provided from clients. Gilcee prints of some of her works are still available as well as a limited number of originals. She is a signature memeber of the Southern Utah Watercolor Society, a member of the Visual Arts Association - Utah, and is represented by the Passion for Painting Gallery in St. George, Utah.
