The Visual Arts Association (VAA), a non-profit organization composed of artists of all media, is working to create a rich cultural environment in Southern Utah. By capturing the imagination and touching lives of individuals through education, promotion and events, the VAA wishes to develop a community of creators and consumers of art. Art provides a vehicle for self-expression and aesthetic beauty for all to enjoy. It can contribute to the unfolding of individual, social and cultural histories and deepen understanding of a complex and rapidly changing world. By sharing the expertise and knowledge of its members to the community, the VAA functions as a catalyst in developing Southern Utah as a vital center for the visual arts.

The VAA is open to all visual arts organizations and individual artists. A full calendar of future exhibitions and events is being developed for our members to participate in. Because our members come from diverse backgrounds and media, care will be taken to include workshops and exhibits to accommodate those needs. The VAA is also deeply committed to encourage emerging artists and young people thought the educational and exhibit opportunities that we present. Most importantly, we would like to extend our help in supporting and providing creative artistic opportunities in our local schools.

To help each member reach their artistic potential by providing exhibit opportunities, workshops and encouragement. In addition, we will be an advocate of our members promote them in publications, newsletters, and on the internet.
